A deciduous shrub that is low growing with a rounded crown that typically grows to 3 feet tall and 5 feet wide. Fragrant white creamy flowers bloom in the early summer. In addition, it is drought tolerant once established and salt tolerant. This plant has a deep root system which makes it great for erosion control. This plant is native to eastern and central North America. New Jersey Tea grows best in well-drained sandy loam or rocky soils in full sun to partial shade.
