Watermill Rooftop

Long Island Natives was hired to consult on a re-vegetation project involving an over cleared parcel of property within the Town of Southampton. Our role in this project was to assist in the recommendation and selection of qualified nursery grown vegetation to fulfill our client’s will to replenish a natural reforested landscape. The role advanced into other areas of horticultural management including an expansive 5000 sq. ft. rooftop (mostly) native wildflower meadow that blends into more traditional ornamental (non-native) plantings. This property boasts a diverse use of native species throughout all remaining areas of its landscape. A few of our favorsedge and bluestem woodland meadows and sprawling beach and oak forests with appropriate understory species.
