Achillea millefolium ‘Paprika’, commonly known as Paprika Yarrow, is a hardy, long-blooming perennial prized for its vibrant red flowers, finely textured foliage, and excellent garden performance. This versatile yarrow is an attractive choice for perennial borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, rock gardens, and naturalized landscapes.
From early to mid-summer, Achillea millefolium ‘Paprika’ produces clusters of vivid red flowers with contrasting yellow centers. The blooms are held on sturdy stems above aromatic, fern-like green foliage, creating an eye-catching display throughout the summer. As the flowers age, their color can soften to shades of pink, adding additional seasonal interest.
Paprika Yarrow thrives in full sun and prefers well-drained soil. Once established, it is drought tolerant and relatively low maintenance, making it well suited to water-wise landscapes and areas where dependable, easy-care perennials are desired. The colorful flower clusters are also attractive to bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making Achillea ‘Paprika’ a valuable addition to wildlife-friendly gardens.
With its bold flower color, long blooming period, drought tolerance, and pollinator-friendly qualities, Achillea millefolium ‘Paprika’ is an excellent perennial for adding vibrant color, texture, and lasting interest to a wide range of garden settings.
