Solomon’s seal is a perennial herb with arching, unbranched stems. This plant can befound in dry to moist rocky woods and thickets. There are white, bell-shaped flowers that bloom along with a blue to black berry. This plant is native to North Carolina and Eastern United States. The young shoots that are grown can be boiled for 10 minutes to be eaten, rootstock is edible after being boiled for 20 minutes.
