Aster (Symphyotrichum) oblongifolious – Aromatic Aster

Aromatic aster is a herbaceous perennial from the asteraceae family. This plant is native to Northeastern and Central United States. They may grow from 1-3feet tall and bloom between August and September. Their bloom are a showy fragrant flower that attracts birds and butterflies. Their flowers are small, daisy-like flowers with violet blue rays and yellow center disks.

The aromatic aster can be used for open shade gardens, native plant gardens or woodland gardens. Great for mass planting.
